The Alma laser XL Pro is the latest in laser treatment of several types of skin disorders. The Alma Laser is unique in that it combined two radiofrequencies: unipolar and bipolar. This feature of the laser allows it to be used to treat many skin blemishes including removing hair in people with different skin colors.
Laser Hair Removal
The Alma laser because of its dual wavelengths is excellent for removing hair in people of different skin colors. The laser selectively targets the hair follicles and destroys them. In most people, two to three sessions are required to remove all the hair. The alma laser can be used on almost any part of the body for hair removal. The alma laser has a much lower risk of forming keloids and scars because it only selectively damages the hair follicles.
The alma laser is also useful for removing fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin and anti-aging. Because the heat tightens the collagen molecules, this results in a taut, fresh and smooth skin. Alma facial resurfacing requires one session and there is some downtime as a result of the redness and mild swelling. The results of the alma laser are as good as any surgical face lift procedure and can last for many months.
Spider Veins Treatment
Yes, the Alma laser can be used to treat spider veins on both the face and legs. Depending on the number of spider veins, one may need several sessions. It is important to note that the Alma laser is not used to treat varicose veins- only spider veins.
Because of its dual wavelength, the alma can be used to treat both whiteheads and black heads. The alma is also used to remodel acne scars with satisfying results. In general, the alma laser is not used to treat acute acne which is best treated with medications.
The Alma XL laser is used as an outpatient. Once you arrive at the clinic, the body part is gently washed and dried. The hand held device is then aimed and a laser beam is generated. The laser penetrates the skin and the heat produced induces tightening of the collagen molecules. The eventual result is a skin that is taut, smooth and young looking
Is Laser Treatment painful?
