Oral supplements help brighten and clear complexion from within. They are usually comprised of a combination of different vitamins and other antioxidants. Supplements are prescribed on a cyclic basis and it may take a full cycle to show visible effects. They also aid in improving skin/hair texture and reduce acne, acne scars and spots. Oral supplements result in clear, bright, smooth, light, even-toned and glowing skin. This treatment is effective only if it is consistently followed as prescribed by the medical professional.

Topical treatment:

This is the most common treatment and maintenance method for acne marks or scars. Depending on the severity of the condition the topical cream may include steroids or a combination of vitamins, acids (AHA/BHA) and humectants. Topical creams have to be used with consistency as prescribed by a physician to show its true result over-time.

Chemical peel:

A chemical peel treatment that reduces uneven skin tone, skin texture, acne scars, acne marks, dull skin and spots. It essentially comprises of AHA (glycolic/lactic acid) or BHA (salicylic acid) which potently exfoliates the epidermal or superficial layer of the skin. This treatment results in clear, even-toned, smooth, bright and glowing skin.

A chemical peel may cause redness, tenderness and irritation. No makeup or products with acids (AHA/BHA/PHA) except humectants prior-treatment or post-treatment. Avoiding sun exposure is advisable and using sun protection of 30+ SPF is recommended. There is no downtime and the procedure is typically performed within 1 to 2 hr.

Microneedling:

Microneedling is a new technique that is found to be very effective in repairing and rejuvenating the skin. The procedure involves using a derma roller (a facial roller with microneedles) in particular movements to stimulate the production of collagen. Collagen has been known to have skin-repairing properties. This treatment reduces the appearance of pigmentation, large pores, acne scars, fine lines and to an extent, signs of ageing. Microneedling results in bright, even-toned, smooth, plump and glowing skin. This procedure is painless and has the additional benefits of increased circulation to the face.

Microdermabrasion:

Microdermabrasion results in reduced dark-spots, acne scars, acne marks, tan and pores – revealing brighter, glowing, clear, smooth and rejuvenated skin.

This is a non-surgical procedure that uses the technique of lasers or intense pulsing lasers. It can also be used in combination with PRP/vampire facelift for better results. Laser technology emits stronger rays and may require a topical gel to minimize discomfort. Laser scar correction results in clearer, tighter, smoother skin which enhances a youthful appearance.

The treatment may cause some irritation, redness, tenderness and bruising which usually disappear within a week. There is no downtime involved. Surgical scar correction:

Surgical scar correction is performed using different excision techniques to reduce scar tissue while simultaneously inducing repair and the production of collagen.
