Skin tags are harmless and non-cancerous growths. They are more oft found in men and are generally removed when they cause discomfort or displeasure.

RF removal

This technique of skin tag removal involves ablative radiofrequency or cold cautery technology. The waves emitted are effective in removing protruding tags on the skin without a trace. Skin tag removal is permanent and it cannot regrow. Radiofrequency removal is a painless procedure that is typically conducted within 30 mins to 1 hr.
This procedure may cause redness, tenderness and irritation. Avoiding sun exposure is advisable and using sun protection of 30+ SPF is recommended. No exercise post-treatment. There is no downtime but, the treated area would require 10 to 14 days to heal.

Laser removal:

This variety of removal consists of laser technology to safely remove skin tags. The rays emitted can remove protruding skin tags safely and effectively without scarring. However, laser mole removal can cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin tones and should be used with caution. This method of skin tag removal cannot be used in the periorbital (eye) region as it can cause damage to vision. Laser removal may cause mild discomfort and a topical numbing gel can be used to reduce any pain. The treatment usually takes 30 mins to 1 hr to perform.

This treatment removes skin tags and results in clearer, smoother skin. This procedure may cause redness, irritation, scarring (keloids), tenderness and bruising. Avoiding sun exposure is advisable and using sun protection of 30+ SPF is recommended. No makeup is to be worn prior-treatment or post-treatment. There may be downtime depending on the surface area of the procedure.
